CURRAHEE is also the name of the last mountain in the Blue Ridge chain of mountains, where the US Army established Camp Toccoa during WWII; here, the first Parachute Infantry was trained. This knife far surpassed all expectations, and therefore, we gave it the name “Currahee”. (?)

Neil Roberts Warrior

The Neil Roberts Warrior Knife is dedicated to the memory of Petty Officer First Class Neil Roberts, killed in action during Operation Anaconda, Afghanistan 2002, and the first SEAL to lose his life in action since 1989. The SEAL community and all involved with this project honor his sacrifice.

Commissioned by retired Navy Chief Steven C. Bronson and designed by Bill Harsey with input from Chris Reeve, the Warrior knife is manufactured to the uncompromising standards for which Chris Reeve Knives is known worldwide. The Neil Roberts Warrior Knife is now available for users and collectors. The engraving on each knife reads "Neil Roberts BUD/S Class 184" - for the uninitiated BUD/S stands for Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL. A trust fund at the Navy Federal Credit Union has been established to support the education of Neil Robert's son, Nathan. The price of each knife includes a $20 contribution to this fund.

CHRIS REEVE NKONKA - The Nkonka is a new entry to the One-Piece line, bringing with it new features learned from Chris Reeve's decades of experience in the knife industry. With a 7.5" blade of A2 steel, and the famous one-piece construction, this knife will not fail you. A complete screwdriver set is included in the handle of each knife.

The Nknonka is an innovative, bulletproof and highly functional multi purpose design from Chris Reeve Knives.

Specs: Overall length 12.75 in one piece A2 tool steel with KG Guncoat finish. Blade 7.5 in, RC 55-57. Handle 5.25 knurled with screw off buttcap and interior tool kit. Weight 1.6 lb. Blade thickness .250 (a full quarter inch!!)

Innovative Screwdriver kit: Fits into the hollow handle, and is secured by the aluminum butt cap. Provides a highly effective multi-tip tool. The six piece bit selection covers a wide variety of general purpose applications, but you can customize your kit with standard 1/4 x 1 inch bits, available at your local hardware store.

The kit is detailed with practical features that will ensure performance -

Bedpost Style Titanium Finials: Reminiscent of designs by turn-of-the-century English cutlers, Joseph Rodgers & Co. They offer an effective cross guard and a comfortable thumb forward grip.

Blade Shape: Pure quality. With a high grind on a 16 inch wheel and a gentle upswept curve to 60% of the blade, it is a highly effective survival / utility knife, equally at home chopping kindling or potatoes - and all kinds of tasks in between!

Two Facets on the Spine: Reminiscent of traditional Japanese swords - an idea lent to Chris Reeve by Bob Lum (who is the originator of the modern style tanto blade). The effect is stylish and Chris soon realized that it provides an excellent thumb forward grip, with lateral support.

The sheath employs the unique characteristics of leather to retain the knife. This patent pending idea is the brainchild of Steve Derricott of Gfeller Casemakers, who makes all of Chris Reeve's leather sheaths. The sheath is soaked in water based polyurethane to seal the leather after if has been formed, giving almost Kydex ©-like water resistance and durability.

The one piece concept is a tried and tested part of the 18 year line up of fixed blades from Chris Reeve Knives. At present, the 7.5" Nkonka is made from A2, heat treated to 55-57RC. It is coated with KG Gun-Kote™ and sharpened to the legendary CRK edge.

The performance of the Nkonka is fast, smooth and elegant - like a bushbuck running through the bush!
