LEVITATOR™ A patented Benchmade exclusive, the knife handle scale/liner is cut to create a spring system which is used to leverage a lock-pin in and out of a notch in the tang of the blade. This spring/pin system effectively locks the blade both in the open and closed positions.

The newest benchmade automatic knife and the ONLY benchmade automatic knife to be small enough to be California legal. This Benchmite knife is the automatic version of the 310 "levitator". It has Titainium scales and a 1.95 inch 154CM honed blade. This is the NEW BENCHMADE APPARITION ASSISTED OPENING KNIFE. Benchmades entry into the ever popular ASSISTED OPENING KNIFE catagory. The APPARITION is opperated by placing your thumb under the thumbstud as with any thumb opening knife. The difference is that after the blade opens an 1/8 inch or so the spring assist takes over to open the knife crisply the rest of the way. As far as we know this knife is legal in all 50 states but check local laws to make sure.
