As I said these Case Cheetah automatic switchblade double action conversion knives are very rare and hard to come by. Plus check out the Case Vault information!  Owning a Case automatic switchblade knife qualifies you for bragging rights among in the know knife collectors. They ARE expensive. There was a time I thought that the expense was related more to the rarity of the item rather than reflecting the actual costs involved but I'm here to tell you that after seeing everting that has gone into making these meticulously crafted beauties, they are quite a DEAL!!!  Anybody that knows what the time of a master tool and die maker and shop time on several $150,000 PLUS pieces of equipment using custom made jigs and fixtures costs can appreciate why these Case double action automatic switchblade knives are the price they are and a bargain at that.

Here's the deal:

There are a few of every color pictured here. The scales available are "Leopard" etched bone, Pocket worn jigged bone in Blue, Gray and Red and Blue pickbone.  For those of you that have literally waited YEARS and missed out on past offerings you can hopefully get one before they're gone.

There will only be FOUR,....EVER, of the leopard patern so these will be the most rare. The reason is that they proved to be more difficult to work with and the maker has decided not to do any more.

The one nice thing is that, while usually we only get ONE of each color and maybe only get 2 or 3 knives total at one time, this time there are a few of EACH COLOR. This Case Copperlock comes in a commemorative gift tin with a certifiacate of authenticity and a heavey pewter "collectors club" plaque that could serve as a paperweight. It's number 1336 of 2500 made and sports the serial number etched below the case logo engraved on the front bolster. The gunmetal gray bone surrounds a rare "collectors club" shield (button) and , something most people wouldn't motice unless they were a hardcore collector is that this knife has nickle silver BOLSTERS, LINERS and PINS which really set off the gray bone. I don't think it would be stretching things to claim that this was the only automatic knife of this kind in existence. The value of the knife in it's unconverted form is premium. If you want a really special Case copperlock, you've found it.

You can get it with the spine file worked in a sepentine pattern exactly like the spine of the Copperlock below it the entire length of the spine of the knife and blade terminating where the clip begins or with no filework. When they stop converting them it's anybodies guess when or even if there will be any more available. A few of the Case models have been converted for a few years and the Cheetahs have been much more recent but I doubt that there are more than a few hundred Case knives converted to DA automatic on the planet. These are prized possesions in MANY Case and Auto knife collections.
