Knives Case Knife Makes one of the most collected knives on the market today but they make only manual opening knives. These double action automatic knives are expertly and laboriously converted in VERY VERY limited numbers and are HIGHLY sought after by both Case collectors and automatic knife collectors. These knives are EXTREMELY hard to find and very rare. The conversion process is unbelievable, time consuming and complicated. I visited the shop and was amazed at the incredible complicated and precise custom machined jigs, CNC machines and other proprietary process that I've promised not to divulge for obvious reasons. I was thoroughly impressed and somewhat taken aback by what must have been HUNDREDS of hours of research and development to say nothing of the trial and error that has gone into converting these knives.

One of the primary details associated with today's W.R. Case & Sons originated with Case Brothers over a hundred years ago: the "XX" mark, signifying that the blade had been treated, tempered twice and tested for hardness. The company has lasted this long simply because the knives do. Case Brothers Cutlery Company, founded by brothers William Russell, Jean, John and Andrew Case, began producing its own knives in 1900. This series has Case XX on the Button and the Cheetah etched on the blade.

Here is a Case Copperlock with blue bone scales etched with a herring bone pattern. Choose between with or without filework.

This Copperlock has been lovingly converted to double action which opens automatically with the push of the Case shield or manually. The spine has been file worked in a serpentine pattern exactly like the spine of the Copperlock below it the entire length of the spine of the knife and blade terminating where the clip begins. Nicely balanced with a shimmering flow that really sets this knife off as something rare and very special.
